Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe patient care while developing technical competencies.
  • Recognize overt abnormal signs and symptoms and respond appropriately.
  • Complete initial assessments of patient condition and initiate follow-up as needed.
  • Incorporate patients and families in developing the initial plan of care and establishing goals.
  • Revise plans according to evaluations of patient responses and outcomes.
  • Utilize Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) and Bar Coded Medication Administration (BCMA) software per policy.
  • Ensure adherence to Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JHACO) standards for professional nursing care.
  • Document medical records accurately and completely.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to cultural diversity and individual differences.

Qualifications

  • Holds a diploma, Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Has been practicing actively as an RN in an acute or long-term setting for at least two years.
  • Capable of providing complex and comprehensive nursing care for adult medical and surgical patients.
  • Maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • No health or physical disability restrictions that interfere with performance of assigned duties.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
