Staff Registered Nurse

University of Miami is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as an Infusion Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for administering chemotherapy and biotherapy agents, as well as providing care to oncology patients with multiple disease processes and research study patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Administer standard chemotherapy, research study agents, biotherapy agents, and non-chemotherapy medications.
- Monitor therapeutic responses and side effects, and obtain pharmacokinetic blood samples and other laboratory specimens as required by each protocol.
- Assist in maintenance of up-to-date protocol information in clinical areas.
- Document in a concise, accurate, and legible manner according to clinical practice standards.
- Support patients and their families during trial treatment, and educate them about their treatment and protocol requirements.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred.
- Oncology Nurse Society Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Administration Guidelines provider course required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of oncology nursing experience, including recent experience in administering chemotherapy and biotherapy agents.
