Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

As an Evening Warehouse/Forklift Operator at M Dyer Global, you will be integral to the efficient operation of our warehouse activities. Your key responsibilities will encompass the preparation and execution of inbound and outbound shipments, alongside providing essential support to the supply chain by managing the collection, loading, shipping, and receiving of various household goods and products. Proficient operation of technical equipment and maximizing loading efficiency for logistics are critical components of this role, ensuring the seamless functioning of our business.

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Operations General Manager


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Including but not limited to:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of packing materials and equipment.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of household and office goods from vehicles and containers.
  • Verify all items against the inventory and packing list, ensuring safe and accurate storage.
  • Provide necessary documentation for each storage location to the appropriate personnel.
  • Oversee the safe loading and unloading of containers, keeping precise records.
  • Sort waste materials for regular collection, ensuring cleanliness in the yard and on trucks.
  • Safely operate forklifts, adhering to safety regulations and documenting/reporting any incidents.
  • Ensure all incidents are recorded and reported promptly.
  • Stay updated on industry, environmental, and quality advancements impacting the company's services.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse, promptly reporting safety hazards to management.
  • Follow departmental procedures while meeting all quality standards.
  • Uphold confidentiality and perform additional duties as requested by the company.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must successfully obtain TSA/STA approval.
  • Acquire a Measure Master license within the first month of employment.
  • Forklift certification is required.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
  • Ability to follow instructions and demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making skills.

WORK SCHEDULE

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Hourly/non-exempt starting at $17.00 per hour.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this role, employees are frequently required to bend, crawl, sit, talk, move about, hear, and speak. The position may require working in confined spaces and/or under challenging lighting and access conditions. Noise levels may be elevated when operating power equipment. Employees may encounter outdoor weather conditions when transporting materials. The role necessitates the ability to frequently lift up to 100 pounds and seek assistance for lifting bulky or excessively heavy items. Proper use of safety equipment is essential to prevent injury to oneself or others.
