The architect must effectively communicate both technical concepts to developers and business insights to clients, ensuring successful outcomes.

This position collaborates closely with Regional Leadership Teams to articulate how solutions can be effectively delivered, detailing the products, frameworks, APIs, and services that should be utilized, along with the associated costs, timelines, and efforts involved. The Business Solutions Architect will guide the selection of technologies and outline the development phases that the implementation team will adopt, ensuring a profitable solution that meets customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Solutions Business Managers and Regional Sales Engineering to create technical concepts that address customer challenges, utilizing Tait and third-party products, software, and services.
  • Maintain proximity to clients and global offices to enhance service delivery.
  • Engage with Solutions Business Managers and pre-sales engineering teams to resolve customer issues.
  • Work alongside Global Product Management, Development, and Partnering teams to tackle market challenges.
  • Partner with Delivery Teams to design scalable solutions and products.
  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions to generate potential solutions for business needs or challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements.
  • Prepare and document testing requirements.
  • Leverage Tait resources (e.g., IT) to support business objectives.
  • Provide specialized knowledge in technologies relevant to various vertical markets, such as Mission Critical Push To Talk for Public Safety, Intelligent Transport Systems, and SCADA Management Systems for Utilities.
  • Promote software and services throughout the organization.
  • Guide clients in developing their technology strategies.
  • Advise the organization on the application of technology in targeted markets and customer segments.
  • Facilitate customer upselling by addressing additional technical challenges within existing accounts.
  • Develop and contribute to compelling business cases for both internal and external investments.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business or a related field.
  • Experience in one or more relevant verticals, including Public Safety, Utilities, Transportation, and Mining.
  • Familiarity with communications and related technologies that Tait is integrating, such as Cloud, 3GPP technologies, Web technologies, WiMAX, LoRA, and Wi-Fi.
  • Understanding of Cyber Security for Critical Infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Management and delivery concepts.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar or related role.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Occupational Safety and Health Responsibilities

All staff must adhere to Tait policies and procedures. Responsibilities include:

  • Familiarizing oneself with evacuation procedures and the locations of fire exits and extinguishers.
  • Identifying the first aider and fire warden in your area.
  • Utilizing company-provided protective equipment/clothing as necessary.
  • Reporting any circumstances that may pose a hazard to oneself or others.
  • Reporting any accidents, regardless of severity.
