Job Summary:

Chenega MIOS is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to join our team in the Patuxent River area. This role will support a Department of Defense (DoD) client and require the ability to manage multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the overall lead, manager, and administrator for the contracted effort.
  • Serve as the primary interface and point of contact with government program authorities on technical and program/project issues.
  • Oversee contractor execution of the contract requirements.
  • Manage acquisition and employment of program/project resources.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable federal and Department of Defense acquisition regulations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on industry IT trends and DoD IT policies and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of relevant experience OR
  • MA/MS degree and 10+ years relevant experience OR
  • High school diploma or GED and completed military service with relevant training with 15+ years of experience OR
  • High school diploma or GED and 20+ years relevant experience and hold a relevant technical certification with at least a year of experience
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals.
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications.
  • Experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone with good phone skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to visualize a problem or situation and think abstractly to solve it.
