Urology Nurse Practitioner

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at RMCHCS Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate healthcare professional to make a difference in the lives of our patients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care in the outpatient setting, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of urological conditions. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including history and physical examination, ordering diagnostic tests, and developing plans of care.
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, and respond to critical values in an urgent fashion.
- Counsel patients regarding preventative care, therapeutic options, and risks and benefits of recommended testing and medications.
- Assist in pre-surgical patient evaluation, education, and preparation, as well as post-surgical follow-up care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required; Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New Mexico; certification as a Nurse Practitioner required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in urology.
- Familiarity with urological conditions such as recurrent UTIs, BPH, elevated PSA, overactive bladder, constipation, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary retention, erectile dysfunction, and urological cancers.
