Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee the availability of high-quality materials and equipment for the construction team, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and maintaining a competitive market position.
  • Establish, uphold, and continuously refine systems and processes within the procurement division.
  • Lead the procurement of significant material commodities, including Inverters, Transformers, and DC collection, fostering long-term partnerships with suppliers based on transparency and ethical practices.
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of industry and market intelligence.
  • Oversee and enhance the overall performance of the procurement team in line with company policies and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct quarterly Commodity Reviews to identify key market opportunities and vendor challenges.
  • Collaborate with Buyers to maintain a Vendor Scorecard for effective feedback within our supplier network.
  • Facilitate the growth and development of the procurement team to bolster overall organizational capacity.
  • Manage the qualification and selection of suppliers while driving performance improvements.
  • Lead a team of purchasing agents and buyers through relationship building, negotiations, evaluations, interviews, and management of supplier contracts.
  • Monitor the company's purchasing activities, product delivery, and compatibility with engineering and construction methodologies.
  • Negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term agreements with suppliers for goods and services.
  • Take charge of overarching purchasing strategies to enhance competitive positioning.
  • Build collaborative relationships with project teams to assess equipment and materials' performance in relation to construction methods, identifying those that provide strategic advantages.
  • Work alongside the legal team to draft contracts that align with industry standards, risk profiles, and competitive landscapes.
  • Address defects and delivery issues with suppliers, negotiating outcomes that benefit both the company and the supplier's long-term viability.
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, warehouse, and engineering teams to ensure efficient scheduling and movement of goods.
  • Maintain supplier performance KPIs and collaborate with suppliers for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with the Logistics Manager to optimize the use of surplus materials.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Experience in Solar, Renewable Energy, Construction, or Power Generation is preferred.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Over 10 years of experience in Procurement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) is required.
  • Experience with SAP & Viewpoint is advantageous.
  • Strong skills in developing and adhering to procurement procedures and plans.
  • Excellent negotiation and team-building abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide support to various clients daily.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary (approximately 10-20%).
