POSITION SUMMARY:
The Kid Zone at In-Shape Family Fitness is designed to provide a nurturing and engaging environment for children while their parents focus on fitness. As a Kid Zone Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of children through various activities, arts, and play. The ideal candidate will foster a warm atmosphere that encourages children's development and provides peace of mind to parent-members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure a secure environment by adhering to established safety protocols.
- Supervise and engage with children, monitoring their activities closely.
- Plan and facilitate recreational activities tailored to children's interests.
- Read stories, teach basic art skills, and lead songs and crafts.
- Encourage healthy habits through interactive play and learning.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of toys and materials.
- Support social skills development and promote positive self-esteem among children.
- Control access to the Kid Zone, ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
- Enforce all policies and procedures related to the Kid Zone.
- Address and resolve any concerns to meet the needs of members while following company guidelines.
- Contribute to building a strong community among members through consistent engagement.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
- Assist in other club areas as needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in preschool or daycare settings is preferred.
- Possess a flexible and positive approach to meet member expectations.
- Demonstrate patience and creativity when working with children.
- Exhibit physical stamina to manage energetic groups of children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous.
- Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Must be Trustline registered; assistance will be provided upon employment offer.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
