Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality System Management
    • Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, and other relevant standards.
    • Lead internal and external audits to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
    • Monitor and report quality and food safety system data to corporate procedures.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure production compliance with regulatory, internal, and customer product and packaging specifications.
    • Manage customer mandated compliance documents, including COAs and regulatory statements.
    • Oversight responsibility for plant quality control program, including product measurement/testing and data collection and integrity.
    • Manage performance of quality test equipment, including internal and external calibration programs.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Host customer visits and manage quality and regulatory related communications with customers.
    • Manage customer complaint process, including application of proper RCA techniques and tools.
  • Laboratory Management
    • Ensure all personnel performing quality testing are trained and qualified.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead regular quality staff meetings.
    • Ensure team works together efficiently.
    • Manage time and attendance of team members.
    • Recruit new employees with HR.
    • Perform disciplinary actions and annual performance evaluations.
    • Assess training needs of staff and ensure execution of training.
    Requirements
    • 4-year degree in a STEM/technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
    • Experience with physical lab testing equipment, calibrators, scales, digital height gauges, and compression force testing equipment.
    • At least 5 years of work experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
    • Proficient with Excel, SPC software, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Intermediate to advanced statistical knowledge.
    • Ability to work well with other departments.
    • Ability to manage customer relations.
    • Able to handle multi-task environment with excellent organizational skills.
