About the Role

Sapphire Ventures is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Professor of Early Childhood Education to join our team. As a Professor, you will play a key role in shaping the academic landscape of our institution and contributing to the development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent Early Childhood Education in teaching and research within the Faculty of Society and Economics
  • Teach course content in Bachelor's and Master's degree programs
  • Collaborate with other disciplines in teaching and research
  • Contribute to the international development of the Faculty of Society and Economics
  • Conduct basic and elective courses in the field of Early Childhood Education in both German and English
  • Participate in academic self-administration
  • Contribute to reaccreditation processes
  • Participate in the development of Master's degree programs
Requirements
  • Completed university studies in Early Childhood Education, Educational Science, Social Pedagogy, or a comparable field, as well as a relevant doctorate
  • Demonstrated expertise in the areas of children's rights, participation, child protection, and childhood research, both nationally and internationally
  • Practical professional experience in educational or research institutions with a pedagogical focus
  • Research competence demonstrated through relevant publications, presentations, and research projects
  • Excellent German and English skills (C1 level according to GeR)
  • Openness, enthusiasm, and teamwork skills
