We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Instructor to join our team at Kids Connection, part of St. Francis Area Schools' Community Education. As a Lead Instructor, you will play a vital role in creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the site when the Coordinator is absent, ensuring a smooth operation of the program
  • Plan and lead engaging activities for kids, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Guide and support staff, including training new team members to ensure a cohesive and effective team
  • Directly engage with children for approximately 75% of your time, making their day enjoyable and memorable
  • Collaborate with the Coordinator to adjust shifts and responsibilities as needed, ensuring the program runs efficiently
  • Enjoy regular shifts during non-school days and summer months, with potential for additional hours

Locations:

  • East Bethel Elementary
  • Cedar Creek Elementary
  • St. Francis Elementary

Shift Time:

  • Split Shift - 6.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 5:45 AM - 9:30 AM & 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Perks and Benefits:

  • $19.60/hour plus a $0.50/hour differential for split shifts
  • Health and dental benefits
  • 5 floating holidays and 15 sick days
  • $500 phone stipend

Requirements:

  • 18 or older with a high school diploma
  • CDA or AA degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development preferred
  • 1+ years of experience working with kids preferred
  • A natural leader with strong communication skills, able to connect with parents, staff, and children
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check
  • Flexibility, a love for working with children, and the ability to be active in a fast-paced environment
