About the Role

We're seeking an experienced technical engineering leader to join our team. As a Lead Systems Engineer, you'll provide strategic and technical engineering leadership as a trusted advisor to our clients. You'll work closely with government sponsors, MITRE division leadership, and individual government personnel to achieve outcomes that benefit our clients and the enterprise as a whole.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical engineering leadership and guidance to our team
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to complex problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, including multi-security domain network environments
  • Understanding of large, complex C4I System of Systems
  • Understanding of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
  • Analytical, decision-making, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, including multi-security domain network environments
  • Foreign Military Sales (FMS), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and/or enterprise-level foreign and allied partner expertise
  • Experience working in a multi-national military environment
  • Depth of knowledge and experience in Integrated Air and Missile Defense, ISR systems, and/or their dissemination architectures

Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a 5-day workweek. The ideal candidate will be based in Huntsville, AL or McLean, VA, with close working relationships with government sponsors located at the Redstone Arsenal, AL or Fort Belvoir, VA government sponsor locations.
