Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts patient assessments by measuring vital signs, gathering medical history, and identifying the primary health concerns. Provides physicians with evaluations of patient conditions.
  • Performs diagnostic tests as instructed by the physician.
  • Prepares medical equipment and assists physicians during examinations and treatment procedures.
  • Collects laboratory specimens and organizes them for transport, ensuring proper completion of necessary documentation.
  • Administers prescribed medications orally and delivers intramuscular and subcutaneous injections.
  • Facilitates patient education and provides clear instructions regarding care.
  • Evaluates patients to identify emergencies and offers immediate assistance when necessary, alerting the healthcare provider of critical situations.
  • Contributes to the formulation and documentation of patient care protocols and educational materials.
  • Analyzes various medical, statistical, and operational data to prepare reports that measure outcomes and assess program effectiveness.
  • Reviews treatment documentation to ensure that all necessary data for reimbursement is accurately recorded and directs relevant information to the appropriate department.
  • Ensures accurate entry of patient information into the Electronic Health Record system.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED along with completion of an accredited nursing program.

Certification: Must possess a current State RN nursing license and CPR certification.

Experience: A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a physician's office is required.
