Job Summary

Compass Minerals is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead our Electrical Department. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities of workers engaged in the repair, maintenance, and installation of electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule, assign, plan, and supervise the work of electrical shop personnel.
  • Ensure that the crew is working efficiently and that oncoming crews have appropriate work, as per electrical plan, lined up for them.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings to promote a safe working environment.
  • Provide technical expertise to ensure exceptional production and maintain all high voltage systems and equipment.
  • Maintain permissibility on underground equipment as per MSHA regulations.
  • Plan and develop work schedules, equipment usage schedules, priority of electrical expenditures, and procedures for equipment and equipment maintenance.
  • Ensure the crew is working in a safe environment through attention to housekeeping and workplace inspections.
  • Assume responsibility for maintaining safe work conditions, adherence to operational policies and procedures, and adherence to MSHA regulations.
  • Responsible for meeting budget guidelines and assisting in the preparation of capital and operational budgets.
  • Complete necessary daily MSHA and other checks/reports.

Requirements

This role requires a strong background in electrical operations and supervision. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading a team and ensuring safe working practices. A strong understanding of MSHA regulations and electrical systems is essential.
