At McKesson, we're seeking a talented Enterprise Architecture Data Architect to join our team. This role focuses on creating a scalable and efficient data architecture that supports business analytics, reporting, and data management efforts.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data modeling, database design, data governance, and cloud-based data solutions. They will play a crucial role in ensuring data quality, accessibility, and security across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive data architecture that aligns with the organization's goals and supports business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
  • Designing data models for operational and analytical systems, ensuring consistency and scalability.
  • Overseeing the design and maintenance of database systems, ensuring performance optimization and security.
  • Defining and implementing data integration strategies across systems, both on-premise and in the cloud, ensuring seamless data flow across the enterprise.
  • Collaborating with data engineers, application architects, and business stakeholders to align data strategies with overall enterprise architecture.
  • Evaluating and recommending emerging data technologies, tools, and platforms that support the organization's data architecture.
  • Supporting and enforcing data governance policies and standards to ensure data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements include:

  • Typically requires 13+ years, with 8+ years, of direct work-related experience.
  • Critical skills include expertise in data modeling tools, experience with data governance frameworks and best practices, and proficiency in SQL, Python, and other data management programming languages.
  • Proven experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
