Job Title: Director of Data Architecture

Job Summary:

MCK McKesson Corporation is seeking a seasoned Director of Data Architecture to spearhead strategic data initiatives and drive business value through data-driven insights. As a pivotal leader within the organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive data architecture strategy, ensuring robust, scalable, and integrated data environments across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the development and refinement of data architecture frameworks, leading design and implementation efforts to ensure optimal data environments.
  • Leverage tools and resources to plan, evaluate, and execute strategic initiatives, mapping relational entities to use cases or business requirements.
  • Architect complex data systems that support scalable integration and optimal functioning of business-critical applications.
  • Manage creation of data design deliverables, including data models, data diagrams, data flows, and corresponding data dictionary documentation.
  • Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies in data architecture and engineering.
  • Develop innovative solutions that leverage machine learning, artificial intelligence, and cloud technologies to transform data handling and analytics.
  • Build and mentor a team of data architects and engineers, providing expert guidance and fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  • Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure data architectures and strategies comprehensively meet business needs.
  • Define and implement data governance practices and standards to ensure data integrity and compliance across all data systems and platforms.
