Key Responsibilities- Operate and Maintain Wastewater Treatment Equipment: Ensure the smooth operation of wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, valves, and treatment processes.
- Manage Wastewater Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the wastewater treatment plant, including monitoring water quality, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Conduct Laboratory Tests and Sampling: Collect and analyze wastewater samples to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Maintain Accurate Records and Logs: Keep detailed records of wastewater treatment processes, equipment maintenance, and laboratory test results.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal plant performance.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
- Wastewater Treatment Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in wastewater treatment operations is required.
- Certifications and Licenses: Possession of a valid wastewater treatment certification or license is preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in a fast-paced environment, and perform physical tasks as required.
- Exposure to Temperature Extremes: Work in an environment with temperature extremes, indoor/outdoor transitions, and exposure to wetness, dust, and moving equipment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, walking, and lifting.
- Laboratory Equipment: Use of common laboratory equipment, including pH meters, turbidity meters, and other analytical instruments.
- Personal Protective Equipment: Use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and resolve problems in a timely and effective manner.
