Job Summary

WestRock is seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team at our Automated Packaging Solutions facility in Orlando, FL. As an Assembler, you will play a critical role in assembling parts and assemblies into frames, ensuring high-quality workmanship and meeting WestRock’s standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble parts and assemblies into frames, straight and level, with attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Learn and operate machines, including setup and running, to ensure efficient production.
  • Work safely and follow all safety practices to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Assemble minor units by following blueprints or as directed, and file burrs or sharp edges off components as needed.
  • Cut and mount guards using saws, drills, and taps, and mount minor units and/or electrical boxes or conduit onto frames.
  • Make simple tests of completed units to ensure smooth operation and identify any issues.
  • Select assembly methods, fit parts to close tolerances, and use hand and power tools to assemble parts as necessary.
  • Promptly follow work schedules and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
  • Ability to assemble parts with knowledge of correct hardware and materials.
  • Experience with hand tools, electrical and pneumatic power tools, and ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to lay out, cut, drill, and tap material as needed.
