Fleet Grounding Assembly Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Fleet Grounding Assembly Technician to join our team at Pike Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet vehicles by performing annual inspections and testing of ground assemblies on company Overhead, Underground, and Transmission equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform annual inspections and testing of ground assemblies on company equipment
- Maintain a working inventory of company ground assemblies to support field operations
- Work safely while performing ground assembly inspections and testing in the field
- Work safely while inspecting and testing grounds in house
- Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working conditions
Requirements:
- Able to perform rigorous physical labor
- Able to climb up and down on trucks safely
- Understands operation of heavy equipment
- Understands the proper use and maintenance of hand tools
- Capable of receiving and following directions
- Possess a basic knowledge of materials used in fleet transportation
- Able to work for extended periods of time in various locations, when required
- Must be able to obtain a commercial driver's license
- Able to lift more than 50 lbs
- Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather
- Willing to work over-time when requested
- Willing to work outside of the normal work schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required for the position
Work Environment:
The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
