- Bonded Materials Management: Vigilantly monitor the movement of bonded materials and finished products to prevent misuse and loss.
- Compliance and Risk Mitigation: Ensure imports comply with applicable regulations, identify process improvements, and collaborate with the team to mitigate compliance risks.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on Country-of-Origin determination, HTS code classification, and Free Trade Agreement analysis.
- CTPAT Compliance: Ensure compliance with all CTPAT related initiatives.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for service providers and provide performance reports.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in systems, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with global and regional teams to achieve import trade compliance goals.
- Process Analysis and Audits: Conduct periodic analytical reviews of internal team processes and data to maintain efficiency and accuracy, and update desktop procedures accordingly.
- Post-Entry Audits: Conduct post-entry audits in accordance with established compliance requirements.
- Education: Possess an Associate Degree or higher qualification.
- Experience: Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in customs-related roles, with a thorough understanding of import and export operations and processing trade procedures.
- Government Agency Experience: Demonstrate experience working with various government agencies such as CBP, EPA, FDA, and USDA.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with strong skills in Excel and Word.
- Preferred Experience: Prior experience in clearing machine parts and valve products is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Possess exceptional organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Language Skills: Knowledge of the Chinese language is advantageous, but not mandatory.
