We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician, Certified to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy operations, working closely with Pharmacists, Physicians, and Nurses to deliver exceptional patient care.
About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for a variety of duties, including:
- Supporting the daily activities of the pharmacy, including refilling and restocking medications, and compounding solutions.
- Maintaining and distributing pharmaceuticals to patient care units, special services, and other areas throughout the hospital.
- Preparing products dispensed by the Sterile Prep Room, such as large and small volume parenterals, chemotherapeutic preparations, parenteral nutrition solutions, irrigations, skin tests, etc.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a pharmacy technician course (preferred).
- Previous experience as a Hospital Pharmacy Technician (preferred).
- Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- National certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ICPT).
- Strong computer skills, with experience in Meditech and Omnicell (preferred).
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to handle medications with a high potential for abuse.
- Ability to maintain confidential information.
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to perform math calculations.
