Job Summary

Emerson Hospital seeks a skilled Patient Care Technician to provide assistance with nursing care of patients as needed under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing personnel. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing care principles and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to patients as directed by licensed nursing personnel
  • Assist with vital sign measurements and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Certified Nursing Assistant training program strongly preferred
  • Minimum of one year acute care experience or medical/surgical clinical experience preferred
  • BLS healthcare provider certification required
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
