Job Summary

NovaCare Rehabilitation is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patients and customers, resolving account inquiries, and ensuring a positive experience for all interactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to patient and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner, resolving issues and providing solutions to account balances and billing.
  • Process and forward incoming mail and documents according to department protocols.
  • Document all verbal and written communication relative to patient accounts in the billing system.
  • Assist and support other departments and staff members as needed to resolve patient account inquiries.
  • Provide feedback to the Central Business Office staff on changes in payers, plans, contracts, addresses, or other vital account billing information.
  • Follow all HIPAA requirements as defined by the Compliance Department.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum one year of customer service experience.
  • Computer proficiency and experience in Windows-based technologies.
  • Phone or call center experience.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with a positive attitude.
  • Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands

This position is located in an office environment and requires sitting for extended periods of time. The ability to lift up to 35 pounds is also required.
