About the Role

Dewberry is seeking a talented Landscape Architect or Planner Intern to join our Site/Civil department in our Gainesville, VA office. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects for clients in the commercial and government sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct site/civil development, including grading design
  • Prepare detailed landscape and hardscape plans
  • Develop layout studies, yield studies, and parking studies for commercial/residential projects
  • Prepare development plans to support Rezoning and/or Special Exception applications
  • Collaborate with design teams to develop detailed design documents for construction plans
  • Conduct code research and write specifications
Requirements
  • Pursuing a degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Previous internship experience desired
  • Strong freehand illustration and rendering skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office required
  • Experience with Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup, Illustrator, GIS/ArcView, and PowerPoint a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
