Job Overview

Command Holdings is actively seeking experienced professionals to fill the role of SOF Training Specialist. This position is integral to a prominent program that delivers training and exercise support to U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). The selected candidates will be responsible for orchestrating and overseeing activities essential for executing the complete Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) associated with USASOC's training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an Operations & Planning Analyst/Trainer, focusing on operational-level planning and Mission Command.
  • Contribute to the planning, design, execution, control, and evaluation of joint SOF training and exercises.
  • Oversee the comprehensive design and scripting support for all JELC events, including roles within the Joint Exercise Control Group (JECG).
  • Draft and develop operational-level plans and orders in accordance with the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP).
  • Serve in various capacities during exercise execution, including as a JECG / TSOC Staff Officer.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Joint Operation Planning, Mission Analysis, and Military Decision Making Process as they pertain to SOF planning.
  • Research current global events to create relevant scenario injects that help achieve training objectives.
  • Maintain a library of CONPLANS and OPORDS for reuse in future exercises.
  • Advise on the integration of commercial off-the-shelf UAS and USG C-UAS TTPs into training exercises.
  • Document observations and prepare after-action reports, including analysis and reporting of lessons learned.
  • Develop scenarios, injects, and master scenario event lists (MSELs) for various training formats.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by exercise leadership.
  • Travel may be required both within the continental U.S. and internationally.

Work Environment:

  • Moderate to loud noise levels depending on the setting.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a computer may be necessary.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and remote environments.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, talk, and hear during job duties.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for computer operation is required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive in various environments.

Travel Requirements:

  • Regular travel is expected, potentially to remote overseas locations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience in SOF or equivalent military experience.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
  • Extensive experience in joint operations and operational-level SOF planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface with senior staff at various command levels.
