Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Nurse Specialist to join our team at Children's Dental Surgery. As a key member of our ambulatory surgical center, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our pediatric dental services.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and accurately document nursing care for pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Coordinate all aspects of nursing care with the pre-operative team to achieve defined patient outcomes.
  • Work closely with board-certified pediatric dentists, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide nursing care to patients in the post-anesthesia care unit, continuously monitoring and assessing their condition.
  • Assist patients recovering from anesthesia and provide education to families regarding individualized plans of care for at-home recovery.
  • Assess patients' health status and previous medical history to provide comprehensive care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a pediatric or ambulatory surgery setting.
  • Ability to obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within six months of hire.
  • Current Pennsylvania RN License.
