We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Tech to join our team at Lone Peak Hospital. As a Surgical Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Operating Rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and working collaboratively with our surgical team.
Responsibilities:- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient operating environment.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to sterile technique and hospital policies.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, ensuring accurate patient identification and verification of surgical procedures.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment.
- Count and verify surgical sponges, needles, and instruments with the circulating RN, adhering to facility policies and procedures.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
- Surgical Technologist Certificate (CST) and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or equivalent required. Must maintain required education and certification.
- Five (5) years of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in an Operating Room environment.
