Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Med-Surg Registered Nurse to join our team at Riverside Community Hospital. As a Med-Surg RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in accordance with nursing standards and protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and demonstrate knowledge of their modes of action, side effects, and contraindications.
- Initiate, regulate, and manage IV therapy for assigned patients.
- Assume responsibility for patient placement on the unit and assignment of care responsibilities that consider the complexity of nursing care required by each patient.
- Demonstrate competence in clinical knowledge, skills, and technology required for patient care.
- Evaluate patient environment for safety and communicate identified concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Provide patient education and keep patients informed of treatment plans.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with hospital standards.
- Valid California RN license.
- Current BCLS certification required.
- National RN Certification preferred.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of one year of acute care hospital experience in an area of specialty preferred.
- This role requires full vaccination for COVID-19 based on local, state, and/or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
