Telecommunications Coordinator

As a Telecommunications Operator at Rutland Regional Medical Center, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless communication between our organization and the public. Your primary responsibility will be to answer and connect all incoming calls to the relevant areas, while also transferring clinical and support staff calls to desired destinations for continuity of patient care. You will be the first point of contact for our patients and families, providing a calm and professional demeanor during emergency situations. Your excellent verbal communication skills, active listening, and ability to handle high call volumes will be essential in this role. Additionally, you will be responsible for obtaining additional information from callers to determine the best course of action, and dispatching teams in a clear and accurate manner. Your strong organizational and prioritization skills will enable you to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality. Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in a customer service, retail, or other fast-paced business environment
- Prior call center experience preferred
- Excellent verbal communication skills, active listening, and ability to handle high call volumes
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with attention to detail and confidentiality
