Job Title: Medical Assistant Coordinator

At Emory Healthcare, we are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant Coordinator to join our team. As a Medical Assistant Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient care and observation duties under the direction of a licensed provider, RN, or LPN.
  • Assist with routine and complex medical assistant clinical duties, including vital sign collection, medication administration, and diagnostic testing.
  • Maintain patient charts and records, ensuring proper identification, documentation, and confidentiality.
  • Support administrative duties, such as patient check-in/check-out, responding to patient requests, and reinforcing patient education.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinical operations.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • One year work experience preferred.
  • Certificate verifying successful completion of a medical assistant training program from an accredited school.
  • Current AHA BLS certification required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) required.
