Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Portfolio Management Specialist is accountable for overseeing monitoring and maintenance tasks related to a designated client portfolio, primarily focusing on larger and more complex client relationships. This role may involve collaboration with a Senior Portfolio Management Officer.

Key duties include:

  • Monitoring client performance and financial health to proactively identify potential challenges and opportunities.
  • Providing comprehensive financial, industry, and economic analyses to support informed decision-making while ensuring compliance with credit policies and regulatory standards.
  • Offering ongoing mentorship and support to team members within the Credit Products division.
  • Collaborating closely with Credit Officers, Underwriters, Relationship Managers, and risk management partners to strengthen client relationships.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Credit training in a commercial banking environment.
  • A minimum of 2.5 years of experience in commercial real estate financial analysis and portfolio management.
  • At least 2.5 years of experience in financial accounting, modeling, or loan structuring.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) or certification from a recognized real estate educational program.
  • Experience with large financial institutions.
  • Background in commercial real estate property management.

Skills Required:

  • Understanding of credit documentation requirements.
  • Proficiency in underwriting and analytical thinking.
  • Attention to detail and strong collaboration skills.
  • Expertise in financial analysis and collateral management.
  • Effective decision-making and prioritization abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills and business acumen.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Technical skills in financial accounting and basic finance.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
