Responsibilities

The Vascular Ultrasound Technologist will perform all ordered lower extremity vascular exams and assist the physician or provider with phlebology procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist the physician during endovenous laser ablation and microphlebectomy procedures
  • Collaborate with other clinic staff in the set-up and clean-up of treatment rooms
  • Perform patient evaluation and assessment prior to ultrasound examination
  • Complete all appropriate reports following each patient interaction
  • Perform ordered duplex ultrasound examination and other imaging studies
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must be RVT, RVS, or RPhS certified or eligible to sit for vascular credential. If certified, maintain vascular ultrasound credentials by being in good standing with CCI or ARDMS and earning the appropriate amount of CME each cycle period. A minimum of 1 year experience performing vascular ultrasound scans is preferred.
