Job Title: Certified Nurse Assistant Trainer

Rise Up Healthcare Academy is seeking a skilled Certified Nurse Assistant Trainer to provide onsite training for student CNAs in the Fort Wayne Area. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive starting wage with additional pay for experience.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, be certified by the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) as a CNA in good standing, and possess basic computer skills along with knowledge of programs such as Excel and Word.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, skin care, grooming, nail care, and dressing needs.
  • Feed residents, provide bedside water, and transfer residents to and from dining areas as needed.
  • Answer resident call lights and respond to residents' requests for assistance in a timely manner.
  • Maintain resident rooms by making beds, changing bed linens, cleaning bedside tables, and organizing personal belongings.
  • Observe and report any signs of change in residents' appetite, skin condition, or behaviors.
  • Offer emotional support and actively listen to residents to help them develop trust and achieve independence in daily living.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all residents and their care to ensure resident rights and privacy are protected.
  • Provide medical record documentation in accordance with facility policy.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Certified by the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) as a CNA in good standing.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of programs such as Excel and Word.
  • Thorough understanding of the principles of safe and effective nursing practices within the State of Indiana.
