As a Carpet Cleaning and Restoration Technician, you will be responsible for preparing rooms for work activities, communicating with management and other technicians, and performing various floor cleaning and water damage restoration services.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare rooms/areas for work activities and set up staging area and equipment for each project.
- Communicate with management and other technicians to maintain efficient production processes.
- Perform various floor cleaning and water damage restoration services, including carpet and floor cleaning, odor remediation, fire and smoke damage restoration, mold and mildew remediation, and water restoration.
- Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown, leaving the jobsite with a clean and orderly appearance.
- Communicate effectively with customers and complete necessary documentation.
- Perform basic equipment and vehicle maintenance and maintain appearance and stock of appropriate tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles.
- Maintain inventory of related supplies.
- Valid driver's license.
- High school diploma (or GED).
- Adequate math skills to apply learned techniques to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
- Demonstrates basic proficiency in the use of computers, email, and portable devices used to report and record daily activity.
- Certification in performing appropriate services: Carpet Cleaning, Water Mitigation, Mold, etc.
- Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) certification.
- Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) certification.
- Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification.
Compensation levels will reflect the experience level of the technician. Hourly rate increases as experience and certifications are gained in water mitigation, mold, trauma scene, and asbestos certifications are added. Commissions are possible on top of hourly rate.
