Job Description

Role Overview

The School Based Therapist is a critical member of our team, responsible for providing mental health services to students at designated schools. This role requires a strong understanding of child development, mental health principles, and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to students, addressing a range of mental health concerns.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
  • Participate in regular staff meetings and clinical supervision to ensure best practices.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in mental health, preferably in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) or Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) certification.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week with an 8-hour shift. The work location is in-person at designated schools.
