Elementary Reading Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY
The role focuses on enhancing the reading capabilities of students, particularly those who are striving readers. This position involves working closely with learners to develop targeted reading skills. Collaboration with classroom educators is essential to create and implement effective intervention strategies. Regular assessments are conducted to determine which students qualify for additional support services.
The specialist will evaluate reading strengths and weaknesses, aligning these with suitable methodologies and resources to foster a love for reading.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Arizona Elementary Certificate K-8 with Reading Endorsement K-8 or K-12
Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with diverse student populations
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS POST-HIRE
Verification of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR vaccination.
