About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Behavior Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing effective behavior support plans that promote skill development, individual rights, and quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, monitor, and coordinate designated behavior programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Maintain relationships with consumers, parents, staff, professionals, and community members.
  • Ensure compliance with Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities regulations.
  • Assess and analyze behavior, and develop plans, procedures, strategies, or supports to address any issues.
  • Consult with other professionals as needed to ensure comprehensive support.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or graduate-level degree from an accredited college or university, or a valid license issued by the Ohio board of psychology, counselor, social worker, and marriage and family therapist board, or a physician license issued by the state medical board of Ohio.
  • Three years of paid, full-time experience in developing and/or implementing behavioral support and/or risk reduction strategies or plans.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work independently and as a team, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
