Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Art Therapist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As an Art Therapist, you will provide art therapy treatment services to identified patients within our hospital and/or Ahlbin Centers system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and implement treatment interventions for the purpose of reducing symptoms, maintaining level of functioning and/or enhancing wellness.
  • Conceptualize, develop, implement and evaluate therapeutic groups and interventions appropriate to the treatment setting.
  • Complete documentation in accordance with established unit policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate competency to work with a variety of populations in a variety of settings.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in art therapy.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare setting.
  • Current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire.

Working Conditions

The worker must be able to stand, walk, talk, hear, lift, push, pull, reach, stoop, kneel, climb and perform repetitive motions, of the wrist, fingers or hands. The worker is subject to inside environmental/atmospheric conditions such as poor ventilation and is also subject to hazards, such as exposure to chemicals.

Additional Information

Experience within Inpatient and Outpatient Psychiatric Settings preferred. Part time; Days.
