Job Summary and Qualifications
The professional Registered Nurse (RN) serves as the advocate for patients and their families.

He/she consistently employs the nursing process, critical thinking abilities, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership to independently provide safe nursing care to patients.

The RN collaborates with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes in alignment with the hospital's mission and Methodist Excellence goals.

Demonstrates effective communication and interpersonal skills, embodying confidence and professionalism within nursing as evidenced by active participation in unit and organizational activities.

The RN exemplifies teamwork and adaptability and serves as a resource for the patient care team.

He/she is accountable for the quality of nursing care services delivered by themselves or others under their supervision, in accordance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies, and the Texas Board of Nursing regulations for delegated nursing tasks.

Promotes a positive image of nursing and demonstrates teamwork and adaptability by consistently adhering to the standards of Methodist Excellence.


What You Will Do In Your Role:


- You will consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills, and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients.
- You will collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
- You will provide communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities.
- You will demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient care team.
- You will be accountable for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing.


What qualifications you will need:
- American Red Cross Basic Life Support certification.
- Registered Nurse, Texas Registered Nurse License.
- Bachelor’s Degree, Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
