Certified Nursing Assistant/Mental Health Technician

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant/Mental Health Technician to join our team at Mesilla Valley Hospital. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals in need of treatment for psychiatric and substance abuse issues.
Responsibilities- Provide therapeutic interactions with patients to promote a safe and clean environment
- Collaborate with experienced CNAs/MHTs and Nurses to provide a therapeutic milieu
- Use training skills consistently to support patient care
- Function as an active part of the treatment team, serving as a role model to patients and other CNAs/MHTs
- Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and demonstrate commitment to the Service Excellence program
- High School Degree/GED required; or Associates Degree in a Human Services field; or Bachelors Degree in a Human Services field; and a Certified Nursing Assistant certification is required
- One year of work experience in a behavioral health facility, or bachelors degree in social services or related field, plus one year of work experience in behavioral health service or delivery preferred
- Must have a current valid driver's license with no DWI/DUI violations in the last 3 years
- Direct service staff must complete a minimum of 20 hours of pre-service training including CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention
