We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant/Mental Health Technician to join our team at Mesilla Valley Hospital. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will provide direct care and support to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being in a therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities- Provide therapeutic interactions with patients, promoting a safe and clean unit environment
- Collaborate with experienced CNAs/MHTs and nurses to provide a supportive and structured treatment milieu
- Utilize training skills consistently to ensure high-quality patient care
- Function as an active member of the treatment team, serving as a role model for patients and other CNAs/MHTs
- Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse, demonstrating commitment to the Service Excellence program
- High School Degree/GED required; or Associates Degree in a Human Services field; or Bachelors Degree in a Human Services field; and a Certified Nursing Assistant certification is required
- One year of work experience in a behavioral health facility, or bachelors degree in social services or related field, plus one year of work experience in behavioral health service or delivery preferred
- Must have a current valid driver's license with no DWI/DUI violations in the last 3 years
- Must be 18 years or older and have a good driving record as obtained from the Department of Public Safety
