Job Description

As an Advanced Communications Network Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support for complex telecommunications systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, and the ability to work collaboratively in high-stakes environments.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in a relevant field or 2+ years of related experience (additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Strong understanding of POTS and ISDN telephony system architectures and configurations.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing IT trouble tickets and understanding related processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with telecommunication systems, such as Private Branch Exchange (PBX) and Automatic Call Distributor (ACD).
  • Prior experience working in locations such as the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), or Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB).
  • Knowledge of Air Force operations, Pentagon workflows, and AFNCR initiatives.

Estimated Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $120,000 based on location and experience.
