ASRC Federal Agile Decision Sciences (ADS) is on the lookout for a highly skilled full-time Software Configuration Manager II with an active Secret security clearance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective communication skills (both written and verbal), possess strong interpersonal abilities, and exhibit self-motivation and innovation in a dynamic work environment.

Work Schedule

  • Facilities operate from 6am to 6pm, allowing flexibility in setting hours with customer leadership.
  • Flex time is available during the two-week pay cycle to accommodate appointments without using PTO.
  • A compressed work schedule may be offered at the discretion of work center leadership (e.g., 4/10 or 9/80).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive software, hardware, and documentation configuration management and process control support for various weapon system software and related documentation.
  • Under general guidance, execute all software configuration management activities as outlined in the software configuration management plan, adhering to program policies and requirements.
  • Utilize software package audit tools, manage weapon system baselines, and support organizational process teams.
  • Establish and oversee tool-specific software libraries as necessary.
  • Perform and document all required builds to ensure reproducible software configuration baselines.
  • Implement release and change control functions using designated software configuration management systems/tools to ensure software product integrity and meet program timelines.
  • Generate and maintain all essential program software development, release, and change records, including 'as built' and status accounting records.
  • Conduct Configuration Control Board activities, including establishing agendas, recording approvals/non-approvals, and maintaining action items/lists.
  • Develop proficiency in the assigned software configuration management system/tool and gain comprehensive knowledge of project software configuration management processes and standards.
  • May undertake computer systems task assignments within engineering, including software configuration management tasks, software builds, and tools systems administration for configuration management and discrepancy reporting tools.
  • Manage computer resources, including identification, evaluation, and selection, along with PC systems administration tasks, database requirements analysis, design, development, and implementation.
  • Tool administration tasks encompass script software requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, and other engineering development tool administration tasks.
  • Enhance job knowledge by exploring state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and engaging in professional organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Clearance: Must possess a Secret security clearance or higher.
  • Education/Experience:
    • AS degree with 2 years of Software Configuration Management experience
    • OR
    • No degree with 5 years of Software Configuration Management experience.
  • Certification: Software Configuration Management: Principles and Implementation Certification or equivalent.
