Position Overview

Role Summary

This role is pivotal as the principal statistician overseeing various projects of varying complexities, serving as the primary liaison with sponsors for all biostatistical activities related to assigned initiatives. Additionally, this position acts as a crucial resource for addressing intricate statistical challenges, considerations for study design, and the development of protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulates and evaluates statistical analysis plans (SAPs) in accordance with the protocol, which includes crafting visually appealing mock-up displays for tables, listings, and figures. Additionally, it involves drafting or reviewing programming specifications for analysis datasets, tables, listings, figures, and presentations, while offering recommendations for protocol enhancements as needed.
  • Engages in and contributes to the assessment and quality assurance of project deliverables to guarantee that outputs meet expectations and are consistent with the analyses detailed in the SAP.
  • Delivers analytical results to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conducts literature reviews pertinent to the analyses, prepares manuscripts for publication, oversees the publication submission process, and serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in methodological development for the team.
  • Offers mentorship and guidance to junior research statisticians.
  • Estimates timelines for study-related tasks in discussions with stakeholders and management, proactively notifying management of any obstacles in meeting these deadlines. Monitors the advancement of study activities against established milestones, ensuring that project outputs are completed within the designated timelines. Identifies tasks that exceed the scope and escalates them to management.
  • Participates in project teams, collaborating with representatives from other departments as necessary.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or requested.

Education & Experience Requirements

Mandatory

  • Master's degree in analytics, health services research, epidemiology, or biostatistics with 3 years of experience in Statistical Analysis -OR-
  • Bachelor's degree in analytics, health services research, epidemiology, or biostatistics with 6 years of experience in Statistical Analysis -OR-
  • Doctorate in analytics, health services research, epidemiology, statistics, or biostatistics

Required Skills

  • Proficient in SAS, R, or Stata
  • Builds strong relationships with peers and cross-functional collaborators to achieve high performance
  • Utilizes advanced knowledge of statistical design, analysis, and programming techniques in clinical research effectively and communicates statistical concepts clearly
  • Exhibits a high level of technical expertise and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing

Compensation Range:

Minimum: $78,900.00

Maximum: $146,000.00
