Job Description

Job Summary:

Tacoma Rehab LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing Services to lead our nursing department in providing high-quality care to our residents. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing nursing policies, procedures, and programs that promote a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Nursing Leadership: Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and programs that promote a culture of excellence and patient-centered care.
  • Staff Management: Supervise and manage a team of nursing staff, including Charge Nurses and Resident Care Managers, to ensure that nursing care is delivered in accordance with established standards and policies.
  • Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, to ensure that their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Quality Improvement: Identify areas for quality improvement and develop strategies to address them, in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Committee.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the nursing department is in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Education and Training: Provide education and training to nursing staff on new policies, procedures, and programs, as well as on best practices in nursing care.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that nursing care is coordinated and delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a supervisor in a skilled nursing facility; experience in rehabilitation and restorative nursing practices preferred.
  • Licensure: Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Washington required.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
