Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in San Jose, California. As a key member of our Addiction Medicine Psychiatry Division, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to our patients.
Job SummaryThis full-time position involves working with adult and/or child members who present themselves for psychiatric evaluation with a broad range of mental health needs. You will collaborate with treating physicians, psychiatrists, and allied health professionals to plan and direct each individual member's treatment program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate clinical treatment programs for the diagnosis, treatment, and/or referral of Health Plan members with acute or chronic mental illness.
- Participate in staff conferences to select, plan, and evaluate treatment programs.
- Provide outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
- Instruct and counsel patients and their families regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and adherence to prescribed medication regimens, within the scope of practice.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited college or university. You should also have a Psychologist License (California) within 6 months of hire and National Provider Identifier required at hire.
Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated experience in psychological evaluations of adults, children, adolescents, and families, including administering and writing up psychological testing and assessment batteries is preferred. Previous clinical responsibility to include crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy is also desirable.
