Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to lead our pain management team. As a Lead Pain Management Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for conducting thorough physical examinations of patients presenting with pain-related concerns, reviewing medical histories, administering and monitoring medication management, and collaborating with other providers to develop effective treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough physical examinations of patients presenting with pain-related concerns;
  2. Review patient's medical history;
  3. Administer and monitor medication management for pain relief, following established protocols and guidelines;
  4. Consult with other providers before deciding on a therapy or treatment program to help patients manage their pain;
  5. Use knowledge and pain management skills to find effective non-invasive treatment options;
  6. Perform joint injections;
  7. Provide patient education on pain management techniques, lifestyle modifications, and self-care strategies;
  8. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients;
  9. Stay updated with the latest advancements and research in the field of pain management through continuous learning and professional development.

Requirements:

  • Active VA/MD license;
  • Previous experience in the field of pain management is preferred;
  • Excellent clinical skills, including physical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning;
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, demonstrating a high level of autonomy in decision-making;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals;
  • Dedication to providing compassionate and patient-centered care, with a focus on improving the quality of life for individuals living with chronic pain;
  • Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, confidentiality, and adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
