Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to fill the role of Custodian, Floor Tech, Day Porter. This position involves performing a range of cleaning and janitorial duties, as well as specialized tasks related to floor care and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and window cleaning in various areas of our facilities.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in all assigned areas, paying particular attention to high-traffic zones, restrooms, break rooms, and common spaces.
  • Clean and sanitize surfaces, fixtures, and equipment to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a hygienic environment.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
  • Restock janitorial supplies and keep inventory of cleaning materials to ensure availability when required.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of events, meetings, and gatherings, including arranging furniture, setting up audiovisual equipment, and providing general support.
  • Handle and report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Operate and maintain floor care machinery, such as floor buffers, burnishers, and carpet cleaning equipment.
  • Follow instructions and usage guidelines for specialized floor care tasks, including stripping, waxing, buffing, and polishing floors to maintain their appearance and condition.
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize and execute cleaning tasks efficiently and effectively in accordance with established schedules and timelines.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.
  • Ensure compliance with established company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial role preferred.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment, with the ability to handle and use them safely and effectively.
  • Experience and expertise in floor care procedures, including stripping, waxing, buffering, and carpet cleaning.
  • Ability to operate and maintain floor care machinery, such as buffers, burnishers, and carpet cleaning equipment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina and capability to lift heavy objects, stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed, across multiple locations.

Employment Type:
