Air Traffic Management Specialists (ATMS) oversee air traffic in and around airports, adhering to established protocols to avert collisions and minimize delays caused by traffic congestion.

They ensure the safe, orderly, and efficient movement of air traffic throughout the national airspace.

What We Provide:


In accordance with state and local regulations regarding pay transparency, salaries are location-specific and range from $33.09 to $36.05.

Additional incentives may be available based on location:

As a member of the Air Traffic Control team, you can expect to:

• Respond to radio communications from arriving and departing aircraft
• Provide landing and takeoff instructions
• Relay information such as runway usage, wind conditions, visibility, taxiing directions, and relevant data on nearby aircraft
• Grant air traffic clearances


• Conduct critical weather observations as a Limited Aviation Weather Reporting Station (LAWRS) observer, disseminating timely weather updates to pilots and other air traffic control facilities.

• Transfer and receive control of aircraft

Operate equipment including:
radios, telephones, intercoms, computer systems, radar, recording devices, weather instruments, light guns, and airport lighting systems.

• Alert Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighters and other emergency responders to aircraft in distress
• Coordinate with and provide instructions to airport vehicles and personnel
• Maintain and distribute records of daily operations
• Perform on-the-job training instructor duties as needed

Qualifications:

Requirements to be part of the team:
• US Citizenship
• An FAA Second Class Medical Certificate
• A Control Tower Operator (CTO) rating or a Credential with a Tower Rating
• Eligibility to work for Serco under Federal Immigration Laws
• Verification of education and employment references from previous employers, including the release of drug and alcohol records
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening
• Obtaining an FAA Security clearance (interim and final suitability)
• Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States
