Furniture Management Associate

Overview

FLEETCOR is seeking a Furniture Management Associate within our ALE Solutions division. This role is integral to our Lodging sector. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a team and independently to oversee the daily management of the Furniture Book, ensuring all tasks meet the expectations of our customers. You will work closely with the Furniture Supervisor and engage regularly with our vendor partners.

Key Responsibilities

As a Furniture Management Associate, your duties will include:
  • Building and nurturing relationships with furniture suppliers alongside the Furniture Supervisor to enhance business processes.
  • Coordinating effectively with ALE team members who deliver services to policyholders.
  • Processing orders for furniture, appliances, and household items upon receipt from the relevant department.
  • Following up on orders to confirm scheduling with vendors and communicating delivery dates to the necessary parties.
  • Reviewing contracts for accurate billing, delivery charges, and items to be delivered, ensuring final pricing is entered into the system prior to delivery.
  • Verifying pre-applications to ensure all necessary items are quoted.
  • Updating the database with incoming quotes for new claims and assigning tasks to Coordinators for special cases.
  • Providing support to the Furniture Assistant Team as required.
  • Creating and maintaining the daily Book in the management system.
  • Resolving vendor and customer issues as they arise.
  • Documenting all furniture-related issues in the management system.
  • Handling incoming calls for the Furniture Department.
  • Addressing any quality or delivery issues on behalf of customers with furniture companies and their drivers.
  • Coordinating transportation requests between customers and furniture vendors and tracking responses.
  • Managing multiple files with various events occurring simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Utilizing strong communication and coordination skills to work with others, escalating issues to the Furniture Supervisor as necessary.
  • Maintaining organized records of daily schedules, routes, and issues.
  • Updating the Placement Database as needed.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with management databases is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Availability to work during holidays and weekends.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
Education and Experience:
  • Preferred college education.
  • One year of experience in customer service or hospitality in a fast-paced setting is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to focus and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, phone communication, and computer work.
